Govt Mandates Emergency Braking, Drowsiness Alerts

The Indian government is set to mandate Advanced Emergency Braking Systems (AEBS) and Drowsiness Detection Alerts (DDAWS) in passenger vehicles from April 2026. The move aims to enhance road safety and reduce accidents. Automakers will need to integrate these technologies to comply with new regulatory requirements.
